Bruised Reed

Definition of a Reed: A tall, slender-leaved plant of the grass family, which grows in water or on marshy ground.

I think this can represent us in our human realm. We often feel bruised by harsh words, by a friend’s anger, a spouse’s betrayal, by our own failure and many other instances. In Christ these strips are healed, we are giving grace and mercy on a daily bases! Jesus loves us no matter how bruised we are feeling. John 3:16 16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. This is the love we have in the freedom of Christ.
