Verbal inspiration of the Bible
We believe both the Old Testament and the New Testament Scriptures are divinely and verballyinspired of God. In the origin manuscripts they are God-breathed, infallible and without error.
2 Timothy 3:16 | 2 Peter 1:20-21 | 1 Corinthians 2:12-13
The Trinity
We believe in One God in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit eternally existing together.
Matthew 3:16-17 | Mark 1:10-11 | Luke 3:21-22
The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe that God the Son eternally existing with God came to earth as the God-Man. He did not diminish His deity by His virgin birth through Mary. Becoming the God-Man he took uponHimself the sins of all mankind, died in man’s place and completely satisfied God in regard to man’s sin.
John 1:1 | Colossians 1:15-17 | Romans 5:8 | 1 John 2:2
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit is a DivinePerson who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. As the SupernaturalAgent in regeneration, He seals the believer unto the day of redemption. He leads believers into all truth.
Genesis 2:2 | John 16:18 | John 14:26 | John 3:6 | Ephesians 1:13
Mankind
We believe man was created in the image and likeness of God. In Adam the first man sin entered the world and the whole human race fell, separating man from God. In Adam all mankind is totally depraved and of himself is utterly unable to remedy his lost condition.
Genesis 1:27 | Genesis 3:1-6 | Romans 5:12 | Romans 3:23
Salvation
We believe salvation is the gift of God. As a gift it is brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This is a gift totally apart from any works of man. JesusChrist died on the cross shedding His blood, giving His life a ransom for man’s sin. When the gift of salvation is received the believer becomes a partaker of Christ life and is saved. He becomes a new creation in Christ with a new identity as a child of God in the family of God.
Ephesians 2:8-9 | Ephesians 1:7 | 1 John 5:12-13 | 2 Corinthians 5:17 | Romans 8:16
Eternal Security
We believe all who are in Christ are eternally secure. They will never lose this relationship.
John 10:27-29 | Romans 8:35-39 | Philippians 1:6
Satan and Demons
We believe the Devil is a fallen angel heading a host of fallen angels who are evil beings called demons. The scheme or plan of this enemy and his host is to destroy believers, their homes, and their churches. They seek to blind the lost to the Gospel. Every believer is subject to their attack but provision has been made to be victorious through the Lord Jesus Christ.
Isaiah 14:12 | Matthew 8:16 | Ephesians 6:10-18 | 2 Corinthians 4:4
Sanctification
We believe each believer receiving eternal life (Christ life) was united with Christ in His death, burial, resurrection, ascension and enthroned with Christ as a new creation in Christ. The reality of his new identity is meant to be experienced as he chooses to walk in the Spirit and not after his flesh.
